Dr. So is known for her patience, kindness, and energy when interacting with patients during their visits. These qualities are valued by her patients, particularly children, and she takes time to provide clear, thorough explanations to help every patient understand their eye health and vision care options.
She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo after completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. So has gained valuable experience working alongside ophthalmologists in Newmarket and North York, as well as refractive surgery centers where she managed pre- and post-operative consultations. She also volunteered with an optometry team on a medical mission to the Mully Children’s Family in Kenya, broadening her perspective on global eye care.
Dr. So has a particular interest in myopia management, especially orthokeratology, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.
Fluent in English and conversational in Cantonese, Dr. So connects comfortably with a diverse patient community. Outside of the clinic, Dr. So enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, cheering on her favourite Formula 1 team, and following Korean pop music.
