Support & Guidance for LASIK & PRK Patients
Laser eye surgery can be a great option if you’re looking for freedom from glasses or contacts, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. Our professional team offers thoughtful, personalized laser vision consultations to help you decide if LASIK or PRK is right for you.
We’ll evaluate your prescription, corneal thickness, tear film, and overall eye health to help determine whether LASIK or PRK could work for you. We’ll answer your questions, guide you through the decision-making process, and work closely with trusted surgeons to support your care.

Am I a Good Candidate for Laser Eye Surgery?
Laser vision correction works for adults with stable prescriptions and healthy eyes. While many people are eligible, not everyone is a match, and that’s okay.
You may be a good candidate if you:
- Are over 18 with a stable prescription for at least a year
- Have healthy corneas and overall good eye health
- Are not currently pregnant or nursing
- Don’t have unmanaged eye conditions like severe dry eye or keratoconus

Realistic Expectations for Laser Eye Surgery
Laser eye surgery can offer improvements in vision, but it’s important to go into it with a clear understanding. While many people achieve 20/20 vision or better after LASIK or PRK, results can vary. Some patients still need reading glasses later in life, and others may benefit from touch-up procedures down the road.
Our goal is to help you make an informed, confident choice without pressure or unrealistic promises. You’ll get straightforward advice, based on your eyes and your needs, from a team that cares about your long-term comfort and clarity.
What to Expect During Your Consultation
Your consultation with us is a chance to get the facts, ask questions, and learn what laser surgery might look like for you. We’ll start with a thorough eye exam to assess your vision, eye health, and corneal measurements. If everything checks out, we’ll walk you through your options and connect you with a trusted local surgeon for the procedure itself.
Throughout the process, we’ll remain your go-to team for follow-up care, including post-operative exams to make sure your recovery is going smoothly. You’re never just handed off. We stay connected to support your long-term vision health.
What’s the Difference Between LASIK & PRK?
Both LASIK and PRK reshape the cornea to correct common vision problems like myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism (irregularly shaped cornea). While they share the same goal, they go about it in slightly different ways.
- LASIK involves creating a thin flap in the outer layer of the cornea, then using a laser to reshape the tissue underneath. Recovery is usually quick, with most people seeing well within 1–2 days.
- PRK removes the outer layer of the cornea before reshaping the tissue. This layer grows back naturally, but recovery takes a little longer than LASIK. PRK may be a better option for people with thinner corneas or specific eye health conditions.
